Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will work independently and occasionally supervise others in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, irrigation, and gas systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing advanced journey-level tasks to diagnose issues, install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems with precision;
  • Coordinating efforts among various trades for large-scale projects;
  • Staying updated on current codes and industry standards;
  • Ensuring timely completion of work within budget constraints;
  • Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance autonomously;
  • Testing, installing, and maintaining gas piping and related equipment;
  • Managing wastewater systems;
  • Prioritizing tasks, ordering materials, and communicating repair statuses effectively;
  • Maintaining tools and vehicle in good condition;
  • Performing additional duties as required, including emergency response as an essential personnel member.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Master’s license or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in plumbing;
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing tools, materials, and safety practices;
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national plumbing codes;
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of vocational or technical education courses;
  • Cross-connection certification;
  • Backflow certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia;
  • Experience supervising junior technicians.
