Job Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will work independently and occasionally supervise others in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, irrigation, and gas systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing advanced journey-level tasks to diagnose issues, install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems with precision;
- Coordinating efforts among various trades for large-scale projects;
- Staying updated on current codes and industry standards;
- Ensuring timely completion of work within budget constraints;
- Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance autonomously;
- Testing, installing, and maintaining gas piping and related equipment;
- Managing wastewater systems;
- Prioritizing tasks, ordering materials, and communicating repair statuses effectively;
- Maintaining tools and vehicle in good condition;
- Performing additional duties as required, including emergency response as an essential personnel member.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Master’s license or equivalent experience;
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in plumbing;
- Strong knowledge of plumbing tools, materials, and safety practices;
- Familiarity with local, state, and national plumbing codes;
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of vocational or technical education courses;
- Cross-connection certification;
- Backflow certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia;
- Experience supervising junior technicians.
