About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support our New Product Introduction (NPI) team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our procurement team, you will drive the procurement process for new and innovative products, ensuring that all supply chain needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • NPI Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with project timelines, technical requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Supplier Selection and Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet our quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure successful collaboration throughout the NPI process.
  • Cost Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards. Monitor and manage procurement budgets for NPI projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and project management teams to understand new product requirements and integrate procurement activities seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with supplier performance or supply chain disruptions. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on NPI projects.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in supporting new product launches.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies that could impact procurement strategies and product development.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contract terms. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier agreements, performance, and project status.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities and supplier performance. Provide regular reports and updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Raytheon Technologies will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Certifications: Certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPPB, CPSM).
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments, including familiarity with industry-specific procurement practices and standards.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing procurement activities within the context of new product development projects. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical Abilities: Experience assessing supplier capabilities, market conditions, and cost implications. Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Working experience interacting with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
