Procurement Specialist

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services for Corbion production facilities in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and order schedules and expedite delivery.
• Resolve discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchase orders.
• Support the purchasing function and communicate supply concerns that may impact business operations.
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects.
• Analyze new and existing costs and review cost reduction activities.
• Prepare and communicate reports and updates.
• Partner with peers to review opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier rapport, including researching new vendors, contract negotiation, communication, confirmations, expediting, problem resolution, and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and best practice procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing role.
• Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with peers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture, and customer order fulfillment.
