Job Summary

This position is for a Deputy Electrical Engineering Group Supervisor, who will assist in leading the Electrical and Controls team to prepare designs associated with DOD and USAF projects. This role is responsible for the design delivery and supporting team management for the Bechtel work products and designs, as well as for coordinating the scope and integration of work with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering.
  • Represent the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.
  • Support engineering design development for the GBSD project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Supervise engineers and help execute assignments concerned with specialized unique engineering requirements in a global business unit.
  • Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
  • Manage discipline work process execution and assure technical adequacy in accordance with company procedures, contract, and industry codes and standards.
  • Interface with the ultimate USAF client/customer for Northrop Grumman for technical issue studies, resolutions, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior construction oversight experience.
  • Experience planning and executing work in an Earned Value Management System environment.
  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000.
  • Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
