Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team at our plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of our electrical systems and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of electrical engineering at the plant, including electrical distribution systems, substations, and MCCs.
  • Act as the owner of the plant electrical distribution systems and ensure their operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement electrical engineering solutions to solve problems and contribute to the company's Sustainability and Energy Reduction goals.
  • Manage all aspects of long-term electrical infrastructure strategies, including power factor correction systems and electrical systems in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Establish electrical standards and implement management systems to maintain those standards.
  • Design for electrical and control components of engineering projects, including Allen Bradley based PLC control systems and large DC and AC motor drives control systems.
  • Monitor power consumption and energy charges, and implement techniques and procedures to minimize energy costs.
  • Support and work closely with the site Controls System Team.
  • Project Engineering: Support the Engineering Manager in preparing annual capital budgets, prepare and submit capital appropriation requests, and develop and manage capital project engineering and construction contracts.
  • Maintenance Support: Identify opportunities to improve Plant power and control system reliability, assist maintenance with the troubleshooting of Plant production equipment, and work with the Maintenance Department to implement process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
  • At least 10 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
  • Registered Professional Engineering License is a plus.
  • Complete proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS systems.
  • Allen Bradley PLC programs and other EE related software experience are highly desirable.

Climb ladders and be able to climb 6 levels of stairs.

Capable of working in hot and cold exterior environments, and wear PPE such as safety-toed boots with metatarsal guards, hard hat, safety eyewear, respirators, and hearing protection.
