We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to fill a travel position. This role involves a 13-week assignment in New York. As a medication nurse and floor nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care with a focus on detail and compassion. You will take pride in developing individualized care plans and effectively communicating with patients to ensure their needs are met. To excel in this role, you should possess a solid understanding of current nursing practices and a strong ability to address challenges.
Compensation Package
$1,400 per week (for 40 hours) plus a $250 weekly housing stipend. Overtime is available at a rate of $52.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies
- Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse effects
- Document changes in patient conditions and communicate these to the supervising nurse
- Maintain thorough records of patient care and share observations with the supervisor
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment
- Preferred previous experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Strong interpersonal and patient care skills
- First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory
