Job Summary

Michael Page is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. As a key member of our client's single-family home building team, you will be responsible for managing and executing purchase orders and change orders for residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain clear communication with construction and design teams through purchase and change orders
* Negotiate pricing and rebate agreements with major vendors and contractors
* Coordinate with estimating and architecture departments to establish unit pricing and maintain a unit-price schedule for assigned vendors
* Review plans, new community and model decisions, presentation plans, and website information
* Supervise the maintenance of and updates to master trade partner/subcontractor lists and subcontractor and supplier insurance policies

Requirements

* 5-10+ years of prior experience as a purchasing agent or coordinator or relevant procurement experience
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of estimating and purchasing principles as well as residential construction practices and materials
* Ability to negotiate competitive pricing and communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams
