Position Overview

This role involves supporting the operational aspects of logistics and transportation services. You will be responsible for delivering materials to various locations while ensuring the maintenance of a clean and safe vehicle. Daily documentation such as driver logs and vehicle inspection reports will be part of your routine. You will also assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver materials to designated locations efficiently.
  • Maintain the delivery vehicle in optimal condition, tracking maintenance and mileage.
  • Complete daily driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.
  • Familiarize yourself with delivery routes and coordinate with logistics teams.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials at various sites.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed.
Specialized Roles
  • Pole Operators: Navigate oversized vehicles in various environments, handle large poles with specialized equipment, and manage oversized load rigging.
  • CDL Trainees: Engage in training programs to obtain a CDL license, learn vehicle inspections, and familiarize yourself with onboard technology.
Additional Responsibilities
  • May conduct Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of your delivery route.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including order processing and inventory management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Two-year business or trade degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in warehouse distribution and knowledge of electrical products is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
  • A valid Class A or B CDL and current medical certification are required.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Familiarity with PC applications and software is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while performing job duties.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to organize effectively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent walking and standing, with occasional bending and reaching.
