Key Responsibilities
  1. Asset Protection: Protect corporate assets within your area of responsibility, providing support to all company locations as needed.
  2. Incident Reporting: Report incidents, problems, or issues to the Corporate Security Manager and Regional Corporate Security Manager in a timely and effective manner.
  3. Travel and Investigations: Conduct investigations and travel to meet objectives, including driving, flying, and overnight stays as necessary.
  4. Court Testimony: Manage court documents and provide court testimony or restitution figures on behalf of the company as needed.
  5. Liaison with Law Enforcement: Develop and maintain liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
  6. Security Audits: Conduct and/or review location security and safety audits, identifying opportunities and vulnerabilities, and making recommendations for improvement.
  7. Reporting and Metrics: Compile and prepare routine incident and metrics reporting as directed.
  8. Internal and External Threats: Detect and report internal and external threats, including theft, collusion, and organized crime.
  9. Training and Implementation: Provide training to managers and staff on security and safety topics, and assist with the implementation of security programs.
  10. Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with key leaders, including Zone VPs, HR, Legal, Fleet, and other stakeholders.
  11. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, seeking guidance from the Corporate Security Manager and Regional Corporate Security Manager as needed.
  12. Vehicle Recovery: Participate in the recovery of vehicles, maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict protocols.
  13. Security Technology: Assist locations with security technology, including CCTV, alarm, access-control, and physical security components and equipment.
  14. Breach of Security Reports: Complete, investigate, and close Breach of Security reports.
  15. Annual Security Evaluations: Follow up on the completion of action items for Annual Security Evaluations.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: Prior law enforcement experience or 5+ years' experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Corporate Security.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of filing theft reports with law enforcement, investigation management, court testimony, criminal investigations, rental car operations, computer-based applications, and security systems.
