Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate records
- Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director
- Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements
- Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire extinguishers
- Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions immediately
- Ensure cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way and in compliance with fire codes
- Comply with all infection control techniques and procedures
- Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous chemicals immediately
- Exchange guest/resident oxygen tanks when empty and monitor oxygen levels
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the resident's best interest
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
