Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner
  • Document medication administration and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements
  • Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire extinguishers
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions immediately
  • Ensure cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way and in compliance with fire codes
  • Comply with all infection control techniques and procedures
  • Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous chemicals immediately
  • Exchange guest/resident oxygen tanks when empty and monitor oxygen levels
Requirements
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the resident's best interest
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
