Responsibilities


The Patient Care Associate in the Behavioral Health Unit plays a vital role in supporting patients with daily living activities. This unlicensed, non-certified position provides essential nursing assistance to non-critical patients while ensuring a safe and supportive environment under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.


Qualifications


Education and Work Experience

  • Preferred: Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification upon hire.
  • Must obtain current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology is essential.
  • Previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred, with a minimum of six months.
  • Must acquire a current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.
