Job Summary:

This part-time role at The Vascular Care Group is responsible for providing clinical support in a vascular medical office. The Surgical Technician will collaborate with clinical leadership in the performance of clinical and patient care aspects of their duties, acting within the scope of practice under the authority of attending surgeon and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in procedure rooms with assembling surgical packs, supplies, and instruments for cases
• Prepare procedure rooms for cases, maintaining a sterile field
• Assist with inventory for procedure rooms and provide technical assistance to physicians and nurses

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage office telephone, including answering calls and providing 24-hour call backs to patients as needed
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments
• Assist with patient referrals and insurance authorization for procedures
• Maintain patient medical information, including medical history and health insurance
• Maintain orders and stocks supplies, cleaning and sterilization of equipment

Requirements:

• Surgical technician certification or within 6 months of graduation from an accredited program
• BLS certification
• 1+ year experience in a medical setting, ideally surgical
• Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and follow oral and written instructions precisely
