Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with various mental health and developmental issues, and aiding in qualifying students for additional support services.
Key Responsibilities- Multi-Faceted Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students to identify their strengths and areas of need, in compliance with state regulations.
- Pre-Referral Consultation: Provide consultation and intervention services to students, teachers, and parents to support student success.
- Instructional Intervention Specialist: Develop and implement individualized education plans to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Psycho-Educational Assessments: Administer and interpret assessments to identify students' cognitive, social, and emotional strengths and challenges.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
- Behavior Intervention Planning: Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support students with challenging behaviors.
- IEP Team Participation: Participate in IEP team meetings to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- State Licensure: Must maintain current state licensure and/or certification in school psychology.
- Experience: Experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations is preferred.
- Education: Master's degree in psychology is preferred.
- Professional Standards: Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
