Job Title: Deputy Chief Communications Officer - Customer Experience

SEPTA is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Communications Officer - Customer Experience to join our team. As a key member of our Communications Division, you will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience and ensuring that our communications are effective, engaging, and aligned with our mission.

About the Role

The Deputy Chief Communications Officer - Customer Experience will report directly to the Chief Communications Officer and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of customer-centric communications strategies. This includes designing and implementing initiatives that enhance the customer experience, overseeing the Information Design Department, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement customer-centric communications strategies that drive engagement and loyalty
  • Oversee the Information Design Department, including customer touchpoints such as wayfinding, detours, and customer service
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent and effective communication across all touchpoints
  • Partner with IT to maximize the effectiveness of digital properties and customer-facing apps
  • Implement creative strategic communication to advance the company's mission and core values
  • Build customer engagement and loyalty through effective communication and customer experience initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in customer experience and communications
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences
  • Highly preferred: 15+ years of experience in a senior executive or high-level capacity managing professional staff
