Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Hotel St. Francis. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet guest expectations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, providing excellent service to coworkers and guests.
  • Set up workstations before meal preparation begins, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas, loading and unloading dishwashing machines as needed.
  • Monitor and report any technical issues with washing machines, ensuring prompt maintenance and repair.
  • Manage cleaning supplies stock, ordering replacements as necessary to maintain optimal levels.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, particularly during peak hours.
  • Wash specific items by hand, such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment in designated areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Remove garbage regularly, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, to meet health and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the functions of this position, as needed at the property.
Requirements
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, push, reach for, and carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high-volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.

14-18 Hourly Wage
