Avionics & Harness Technician Sr - Space Systems Expert

As a seasoned Avionics & Harness Technician Sr at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, you will play a critical role in the development and installation of spacecraft systems. Your expertise in translating designs into reality will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our on-orbit missions.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and terminate wiring harnesses to a high standard for spacecraft and ground systems.
- Build and assemble harnesses to precise specifications, ensuring quality and repeatability.
- Collaborate with team members to explain assembly procedures and techniques.
- Work under the guidance of a team leader to ensure project completion and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any production challenges or concerns.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a technician in aerospace or a high-reliability field.
- Certification to J-STD-001 space and NASA.STD.8739.4.
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Experience with hand tools, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic components.
- Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test.
- Experience working in a team environment and using computer applications for work documentation.
- Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
- Experience with MS Office software and ability to perform in-process verification of work.
- Knowledge of various wire harness tools, including manual and pneumatic crimpers.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification highly desired.
