As an Avionics Technician, your responsibilities will include:- Installing, aligning, and wiring electrical and electronic components such as instruments, sensors, radio communications, antennas, junction boxes, and lighting systems.
- Determining optimal locations and methods for the installation and removal of electronic equipment and systems by applying industry-standard practices and adhering to engineering prints from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, various modification centers, and aircraft manufacturers' wiring diagrams.
- Soldering connector plugs and performing any necessary electrical bench or installation work to complete repairs or modifications on aircraft.
- Conducting continuity checks and assisting in the functional checkout of complete aircraft systems.
- Engaging in more complex electrical tasks as required and operating electrical testing equipment.
- Documenting all completed work in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
- Working overtime as needed and traveling to customer locations or other company facilities as required.
- Understanding and adhering to company policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement.
- Observing all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping regulations.
Yes, relocation support may be available.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of avionics installation experience is required, with corporate jet experience preferred.
Must possess knowledge of electrical and electronic theories and be capable of interpreting wiring diagrams. Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment, is essential.
