Job Overview

The Colt Group is seeking a highly motivated individual who values a company that emphasizes quality and integrity. This individual will be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships and cultivating new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and create new sales opportunities
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with new customers to grow the company's book of business
  • Schedule and perform customer lunches and learns to build relationships and provide product knowledge
  • Represent the Colt Group with honesty and integrity in day-to-day duties
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of company products and services available to customers
  • Manage a multi-state territory to ensure customer needs are met and requirements are communicated to the operations department effectively
  • Ensure customer safety and training requirements are communicated to the operations department effectively
  • Perform monthly work in progress audits to comply with QA/QC requirements
  • Gain approval, coordinate, and conduct customer entertainment such as golf tournaments, fishing tournaments, etc.
  • Continue steady growth in the territory while maintaining a standard of quality and safety required by the Colt Group
  • Be available to assist technicians in the field if needed
  • Travel up to 60% of the time by vehicle or airplane

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of successful industrial sales, industrial leak seal, or industrial technical experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels, up to plant managers and CEOs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and organized, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle and make face-to-face customer meetings
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean record
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing schedules and priorities
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check in compliance with the company's safety program
