Key Responsibilities- Lead Counsel for Insurance Defense Litigation: You will represent clients in property and casualty insurance defense litigation, including complex cases involving bodily injury, commercial property, and other types of insurance claims.
- Subrogation Cases: You will handle subrogation cases, including recovering losses for clients and negotiating settlements with opposing parties.
- Case Management: You will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, including conducting research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for trial.
- Team Collaboration: You will work closely with other attorneys, claims professionals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and effective communication with clients.
- Professional Development: You will stay up-to-date on changes in the law, technology, and industry trends, and will be expected to develop and maintain expertise in property and casualty insurance defense litigation.
- Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- License/Certification/Designation: Maintains an active license in the state in which the position is located.
- Experience: Typically, more than eight years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
- Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Has significant litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation, and engages in complex legal practices and procedures throughout all court and agencies in the assigned jurisdiction.
