We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trial Attorney to join our team at The Travelers Indemnity Company. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for handling high exposure cases and complex litigation matters with a focus on delivering optimal results for our insured customers.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for:
  • Litigating cases to verdict, demonstrating strong trial skills and expertise.
  • Specializing in one or more areas of practice, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and trends.
  • Demonstrating strong legal research, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to draft and present complex legal documents.
  • Building and fostering internal and external client relationships, with a customer-centric focus.
  • Providing leadership through mentoring other attorneys and legal support staff, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Providing internal and external training, seminars, and legal updates to insured clients and Claim partners, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Providing in-depth, substantive analysis and quality reporting to insured clients and Claim partners, consistent with best practices.
  • Effectively utilizing support staff, case management systems, and automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Traveling as required to meet business needs, representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Initiating special projects and identifying opportunities to support office goals and business needs, driving innovation and growth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 7 years of litigation practice or prior legal experience, with a proven track record of trial skills and techniques.
  • Active licensure in good standing to practice law in the state(s) in which representation is required.
  • Valid driver's license, depending on the location.
