Responsibilities:
The Property Management Assistant will report directly to the General Manager.

This role encompasses supporting all operational aspects of the property to guarantee tenant satisfaction, financial health, and the upkeep of the property.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting the General Manager in property-related tasks

- Collecting rent and managing delinquency follow-ups

- Recording rent and miscellaneous income transactions

- Conducting daily bank deposits when receipts are available

- Managing and following up on returned checks

- Overseeing eviction processes and handling related warrants

- Initiating collections for outstanding debts

- Reporting income collection metrics to the Property Accountant

- Supporting leasing efforts and fostering resident relations

- Answering phone inquiries as required

- Organizing and leading social events as necessary

- Inspecting move-outs and coordinating unit readiness as directed

- Ensuring that move-in and renewal lease information aligns with computer records

- Following up on service requests and conducting callbacks

- Verifying the accuracy of Weekly Leasing Reports

- Maintaining comprehensive records of income and expenses in the system

- Processing property-level bills and submitting cash disbursement journals to the Property Accountant

- Confirming that paid invoices match issued purchase orders and submitting properly coded invoices

- Updating and managing security deposits; processing refunds and forfeitures

- Conducting general maintenance, auditing, and filing of property records

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience

- Preferred certifications include Accredited Residential Manager (Institute of Real Estate Management) or Certified Apartment Manager (Building Owners and Management Association)

- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Familiarity with Entrata is a plus

- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely completion of paperwork

- Exceptional customer service abilities

- Effective and professional communication skills in a fast-paced environment
