Tacoma Community College seeks a dedicated individual to serve as a Career Service Coordinator, providing essential support services to students and the community. This role will assist the Career Center Coordinator in daily operations, ensuring seamless delivery of career guidance and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with students, faculty, and staff to provide information about the Career Center and its resources.
  • Set up individual appointments for current and prospective students with the Career Center Coordinator.
  • Screen, prioritize, and respond to incoming telephone calls, resolving problems and handling referrals for services.
  • Approve and post job postings internally and electronically.
  • Assist with workshop materials and scheduling students for workshops.
  • Serve as support staff for various events, including job fairs, student employment fairs, and transfer fairs.
  • Maintain and update department records, such as Outlook calendars, web pages, program flyers, and Job Fair database.
  • Participate in team projects, planning, cross-training across student services, and implementing improvements to the Career Center.
  • Participate in college meetings as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.
  • OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
