Vibra Hospital of Charleston is a specialized 58-bed Critical Care Hospital dedicated to providing acute care services for patients recovering from severe health challenges. Our facility caters to individuals with complex medical conditions requiring specialized attention, including trauma recovery, infectious disease management, wound healing, cardiovascular issues, stroke rehabilitation, and ventilator support. Key Responsibilities
As a Wound Care LPN, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing care plans for patients with wound care requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and contributing to the care plan for assigned patients.
- Providing education and guidance to patients and their families regarding wound care treatment.
- Exhibiting clinical proficiency and enhancing the quality of care.
- Demonstrating professionalism in all duties and responsibilities.
- Promoting teamwork and fostering a positive workplace environment.
- Developing clinical expertise in your specialty area.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active and valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from an approved provider.
- A minimum of one year of experience in wound care.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Wound Care certification within six months of hire.
- Prior experience in wound care or a demonstrated interest in developing wound care skills.
- Ability to assess learning needs and educate patients and families effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
- Proficient in applying professional standards of practice in various situations.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and analytical abilities.
- Capability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Familiarity with computer applications relevant to job functions.
