The Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of products through the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of parts to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Support purchasing by expediting supplier purchase orders as needed.
- Utilize our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage production schedules and inventory.
- Coordinate between the warehouse and purchasing teams to resolve material shortages.
- Notify the Production Manager of any schedule impacts to customers.
- Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
- Prepare and submit status reports, including production progress, customer information, and materials inventory.
- Exercise judgment and discretion to determine the most appropriate course of action.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications, including ERP or MRP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
