We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Coordinator to join our team at Summit Funding, Inc. As a Loan Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the mortgage loan process, working closely with borrowers and internal partners to manage a pipeline of loans from contract to close.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and review loan applications, obtaining credit information and collecting necessary documentation.
- Communicate with borrowers and internal partners to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
- Verify loan completeness and submit to Underwriting within 24 hours of receipt of documents.
- Clear conditions and resolve escrow issues without involving the Loan Officer when possible.
- Prepare and review closing statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Meet with clients to sign loan documents and provide exceptional customer service.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in mortgage lending, preferably in processing.
- Working knowledge of loan program guidelines, including conventional, jumbo, and government loan programs.
- Proficiency in DU/LP/GUS and/or other major LOS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to calculate income and prioritize tasks.
