Project Lead

Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting projects within the Refineries, Chemicals, and Midstream Oil & Gas sectors, both domestically and internationally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mechanical design and engineering for equipment, piping, and layout systems.
  • Executing detailed reviews of mechanical designs for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems.
  • Preparing layouts, support structures, isometrics, and Bills of Materials.
  • Overseeing the approval process for fabrication drawings and Quality Assurance Plans, while coordinating with Quality Assurance Engineers during equipment fabrication.
  • Collaborating with the Drafting/Design team to create 3D models and fabrication drawings.
  • Mentoring team members to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery of high-quality design and analysis.
  • Reviewing and guiding piping stress analysis in accordance with relevant codes.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a solid foundation in Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Plant design.
  • Significant experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing fabrication drawings and vendor documents.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience in engineering roles within large multinational corporations or engineering consultancies.
  • Knowledge of relevant software tools such as PV Elite, AutoPIPE, and CAESAR II.

Desired Skills:
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Experience in conducting piping stress analysis for critical systems.
  • Familiarity with national and international codes.
  • The ability to work effectively within diverse teams and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of various piping materials.
