Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Secure Construction Project Manager to join our team at Soft-World. As a key member of our Controlled Area Construction Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the security compliance of construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Security Services Department and external contractors to support the construction, renovation, and maintenance of secure areas.
  • Work with the Special Programs Project Manager to oversee security compliance for construction and renovation of SCIFs and SAPFs.
  • Develop physical security specifications, construction security plans, and accreditation paperwork related to design and construction for assigned projects.
  • Support the construction process, including submittal reviews, site walks, and coordination with Facility Service Department.
  • Formulate unique physical security mitigation strategies for new and existing secure areas, including researching new materials and techniques.
  • Conduct regular inspections of existing secure facilities to ensure compliance with government security regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Secure Design or construction management.
  • 2-5 years of experience in engineering/design or construction support, preferably in the federal facility industry.
  • Familiarity with A/E or Construction Management software, such as REVIT, CAD, Bluebeam, Procore.
  • Knowledge of business software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office.
  • Regulatory compliance experience, including ability to read and apply government regulations related to physical security design and construction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field.
