About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiology to join our team. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients in our fellowship-trained specialty clinic setting. You'll work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and provide care for patients based on detailed treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Provides direct patient care in an outpatient specialty setting, maintaining advanced knowledge of diagnoses, medications, and treatment options specific to cardiology.
  • Clinical Leadership: Serves as a clinical resource, educator, and consultant, identifying learning needs of patients and families, and working with team members and community resources to ensure objectives are met.
  • Communication: Performs phone triage effectively, involving physicians when needed, but using critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge to handle the majority of concerns.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Triages current patient population and incoming referrals, prioritizing scheduling of office visits and testing, and informing physicians of any changes in schedule.
  • Procedures and Education: Assists with in-office procedures, providing comfort and safety measures for patients before, during, and after the procedure, and develops/maintains educational tools for patients and families.
  • Patient Safety: Assumes responsibility for patient safety by maintaining a safe environment and completing environmental rounds, enforcing patient care standards.
  • Professional Development: Champions the development and implementation of the orientation program to specialty, ensuring new staff are educated and prepared to give safe, effective care.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with:

A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience within cardiology or a related field.An Associate's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent).Certification in cardiology is preferred.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $73,500 - $93,500 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
