POSITION: Maintenance Technician STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the systematic upkeep of all equipment on-site. This crucial role involves regular maintenance and care of production machinery to ensure optimal performance, playing a vital part in preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production flow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the operational efficiency of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies, assessing stock levels regularly.
- Anticipate requirements for equipment and supplies, placing orders, and verifying deliveries.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs.
- Propose enhancements for plant and equipment to improve reliability and availability.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments of maintenance activities in collaboration with engineers, operators, and EHS personnel, providing insights on maintenance trends and root causes of failures.
- Develop schedules and checklists to ensure daily equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate records within our software system for equipment depreciation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of relevant machinery experience required.
- Forklift certification is mandatory.
- Technical training preferred, such as NITEC or vocational certification in mechanical, electrical, or chemical disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including gas, diesel, and natural gas engines.
- Experience in preventative maintenance of machinery is essential.
- Basic understanding of fabrication, welding, and machining is required.
- Familiarity with the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in safely operating hand tools with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
