Electrical Project Engineer Position

Converge Resources is seeking a talented Electrical Project Engineer to join their team in Houston. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of mechanical and electrical engineers and design drafters to support the development of Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, and Electrical Equipment Centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to develop and design electrical systems.
  • Prepare electrical designs, schematics, and specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and design drafters as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, or related equipment.
  • 3+ years of Electrical Engineer experience, preferably within the oil & gas and/or Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
