Job Title: Performance Analysis Director

Join the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services as a Performance Analysis Director, a key role in our Office of Data, Analytics, and Performance (DAP). As a senior-level manager, you will provide direction and guidance for developing and implementing the HHS Performance Management and Analytics System (PMAS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage strategies to ensure the Performance Analysis team's understanding of HHS agency priorities and program data analysis needs.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate performance measures and accountability systems for the HHS system.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and assistance in defining program needs, mapping as-is and to-be processes, and identifying high-value data analysis opportunities.
  • Direct, supervise, and manage a team of Product Managers and Data Analysts, including hiring, assigning work, completing performance evaluations, and developing training resources.
  • Serve as a member of the Signal Detection, Visualization & Performance Department's leadership team and represent the department at meetings and conferences.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the functions of the agencies that comprise the HHS system.
  • Knowledge of the state legislative process.
  • Knowledge of gathering and reporting program and/or operational performance data.
  • Knowledge of effective data reporting and visualization practices.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives, translate complex data into user-friendly information, and manage large projects.
  • Ability to identify issues and effectively solve problems, plan, assign, and supervise the work of others, and build effective working relationships.
