Position Overview

FLEXIBLE WORK HOURS

As an Autism Support Behavior Specialist, you will provide individualized in-home therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder and similar challenges. Your primary objective will be to improve their daily living skills. You will collaborate closely with supervisors to gather and evaluate behavioral data, facilitating the creation of effective intervention strategies. Comprehensive initial and ongoing training will be provided to enhance your professional capabilities.

Common challenges encountered by children with Autism include:

  • Difficulty with communication
  • Issues with transitions
  • Behavioral obstacles

Our team of professionals formulates tailored behavior support plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, with the aim of enhancing each child's overall quality of life.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Access to reliable transportation

Additional Qualifications:

  • Live scan fingerprint clearance
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Capacity to engage actively during play
  • Willingness to accept feedback and work collaboratively

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in childcare, tutoring, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Familiarity with special needs
  • Availability during weekends and after-school hours

Eligible employees may take advantage of discounted tuition for a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis degree through National University, meeting the educational requirements for Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification.
