We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing and completing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, while providing exceptional patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Select and operate technical factors for study, ensuring high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within our electronic medical record system.
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through ongoing education and training.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients, colleagues, and radiologists to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the CT scanner and surrounding areas, and ensure a safe working environment.
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
- Vocational/Technical education in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid ARRT (R) certification and ARRT (CT) certification.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
