Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.
- Guide and educate patients and their families, as well as oversee the activities of other nursing staff, while maintaining high standards of professional nursing care.
- Be accountable for the care provided to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Stay informed about EMTALA regulations and the reporting of abuse cases to the appropriate authorities.
- Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Diagnose and collaboratively develop treatment plans with the medical team.
- Maintain efficiency in your work without compromising the quality of care.
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals.
- Adhere to all legal and safety regulations at all times.
- Participate in required training and continuing education sessions.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
Shift: Nights
Mission Regional Medical Center is a recognized facility dedicated to providing a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, and outpatient therapy. Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital setting is required; certification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
