Emergency Room Nurse

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients in an emergency setting, employing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with established protocols and directives from the attending physician.
This role involves collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and achievement of desired health outcomes. The nurse will engage effectively with patients and their families while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for caring for patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies and must possess the ability to identify and manage life-threatening conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care based on scientific principles.
- Gather and document patient information regarding their chief complaints and medical history.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
- Conduct triage and assessments, addressing both physical and psychological aspects of patient care.
- Stabilize patients and manage basic life support until the physician is available.
- Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring equipment findings.
- Document nursing interventions accurately in the patient’s medical record.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications as prescribed and document administration details.
- Provide IV therapy and perform necessary diagnostic procedures.
- Support physicians in managing critically ill patients.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed.
- Review and educate patients on discharge instructions and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain required certifications.
In this role, the Registered Nurse will demonstrate professionalism while managing multiple urgent tasks efficiently. The position requires adherence to company policies and compliance with all applicable regulations.
