Physical Therapist

MedStar Health is seeking new and recent physical therapist graduates to join our team. As a new graduate physical therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a large non-profit, hospital-based, outpatient network in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide evaluation services, including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results.
- Explain evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family, and incorporate patient and family in the goals setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated, and recognize and document changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
- Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care, and accurately and timely document and charge for patient care activities.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
MedStar Health offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $123,260.80, as well as additional financial benefits, including public student loan forgiveness, continued education/reimbursement, incentive program, and sign-on bonus.
