The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team. As a trusted partner to the nation's space programs, we deliver innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil, and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with facilities personnel and architects to ensure security issues are addressed correctly during design and construction.
- Provide technical support for intrusion detection system alarms and security systems, establishing a process for alarm response and repair.
- Compile system security plans in accordance with government regulations and conduct system audits and reviews.
- Conduct physical security surveys and facility threat assessments to determine if facilities meet agency requirements.
- Maintain secure facility electronic records and use an electronic access control system to create corporate identity/access badges.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 or more years of relevant experience with physical security.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of physical security concepts and practices, including intrusion prevention and detection, closed-circuit television, and access control.
- Current TS/SSBI clearance, issued by the US government, and U.S. citizenship.
- Five or more years of relevant experience with physical security and a bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
- Ability to prepare and/or review Fixed Facility and TEMPEST checklists and other ICD 705 related documents.
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changes in priorities.
