Job Title: Travel Nurse L&D Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Travel Nurse L&D Specialist to join our team in Bennington, VT. This position requires 3 years of recent acute care experience. Below are the key details.

In this role, you'll provide compassionate care and support to women before, during, and after childbirth. As an L&D RN, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the medical and emotional needs of your patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process. Your duties may involve assisting physicians with various procedures, including epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean deliveries.

Some of your key tasks as a Travel Nurse L&D Specialist may include:
  • Providing continuous monitoring of patients during labor.
  • Aiding patients with breathing techniques to manage pain and discomfort.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by ensuring beds are kept clean and dry, and cleaning bodily fluids before and after the birthing process.
  • Assisting physicians with surgical procedures and equipment.
  • Providing immediate care to newborns after birth.
To excel in this role, you should be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Strong stress-coping skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds are essential.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications, 3 years of experience.
