The Floor Care Specialist is tasked with the upkeep, restoration, and management of industrial floor maintenance equipment across designated locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibits a welcoming, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Proactively addresses and fulfills customer needs.
- Implements correct procedures for hard floor maintenance, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing, adhering to established hard surface care principles.
- Employs appropriate techniques for carpet and upholstery care, such as shampooing, damp cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
- Operates industrial floor care machinery as scheduled for extensive floor cleaning tasks.
- Conducts maintenance and restorative tasks for various floor types.
- Manages all types of waste, including municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring proper handling and disposal.
- Clears trash, recyclables, soiled linens, and used supplies from the work area, disinfecting receptacles and carts as necessary.
- Adheres to all safety, sanitation, and infection control standards as mandated by relevant local agencies.
- Follows all appearance guidelines and consistently wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a floor care technician or in a similar role, along with familiarity with floor care equipment, is preferred.
- Ability to read and write effectively to ensure clear communication and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Physical Requirements
This position may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
