We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Lake Granbury Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care and health teaching
- Deliver quality care by offering excellent customer service and participating in a team-centered approach
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide holistic care and support
- Perform clerical and patient-related tasks, including record keeping, scheduling, and billing
- Verify patient demographics, orders, and referrals
- Prepare patients for exams and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in direct patient care
- Preferred experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing/specimen preparation
- Excellent PC skills and BLS certification
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills
