1st Shift Compensation: $19.60

1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM-4:00 PM, with overtime as required.

As a Product Assembly Specialist 2 at Caterpillar, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and testing components or systems for BCP machines in accordance with specified work orders and additional assigned tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Rotating through various roles within the Job Function area to perform related tasks.
  • Utilizing various tools available in the work area for assembly tasks, which may involve lifting devices for moving heavy components exceeding 35 lbs.
  • Adhering to documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to ensure safe and defect-free assembly and/or adjustment of components and prime products.
  • Implementing and utilizing CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Capacity to work in confined spaces.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanical assembly experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to adhere to Standard Work.
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills to complete job tasks.
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Strong attendance record.
