Position OverviewThe Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center is renowned for its innovative approaches to treating various vascular conditions, including abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease. Our non-invasive diagnostic vascular laboratory provides comprehensive services for all vascular issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct precise and high-quality diagnostic evaluations.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of new staff and students.
- Engage with referring physicians and collaborate with fellow technologists.
- Review and discuss diagnostic results with the Technical and Medical Directors.
- Maintain a consistent volume of diagnostic studies each day.
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available for procedures.
- Adhere to established Vascular Lab protocols.
- Deliver exceptional patient care throughout all interactions.
- Recommend and perform additional relevant studies based on initial findings.
- Provide preliminary interpretations of diagnostic results.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate bedside studies.
- Independently perform a variety of vascular studies.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound technology and devices for diagnostics.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT, RVS) certification with at least one year of clinical experience in ultrasound diagnostics.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Knowledge of pulse volume recordings, segmental pressures, and Doppler waveform analysis is essential.
- Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, vascular testing modifications, and anatomy.
- Proficient in the use of PC and Vascular databases.
- Familiarity with all diagnostic duplex ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided techniques.
The working hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a requirement to work on alternating weekends as needed.

Employment Status: Regular Full-Time
Salary Range: $49.48 per hour
