POSITION SUMMARY

This role is situated within the Arizona Drilling & Blasting Division of Fisher Sand & Gravel, Co. The Laborer position is based in Vernal, UT, and is classified as safety-sensitive. The individual will be responsible for a variety of general labor tasks at the site, which will involve considerable physical effort. The role necessitates readiness to travel to job sites and stay nearby. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass a Federal Firearms background check for handling explosives and a criminal background check for access to government worksites.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extensive overnight travel required
  • Collaborate as part of a crew with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Assist in all manual labor tasks as directed by the supervisor
  • Engage in physically demanding construction activities
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to all company policies and safety standards
  • Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Perform additional duties as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation is essential
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with company policy is required
  • M.S.H.A certificate part 48 or willingness to obtain certification (company will cover costs)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and physical examination is mandatory
  • Must pass a Federal Firearms background check
  • Must pass a government background check for access to job sites
  • Ability to work under various adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Capability to navigate steep and rough terrain while carrying construction materials
  • Punctuality is essential
  • Must be a collaborative team player with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
