English Teacher 7th Grade

Hamilton County Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate English/Language Arts Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Tennessee State English Language Arts Standards.
  • Establish clear learning targets and consistently assess student progress.
  • Implement high-leverage literacy practices to promote student growth.

  • Build strong relationships with students' families and keep them informed of student progress.
  • Provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their children's learning.

  • Reflect on instruction and leadership to contribute to the mission and goals of the school.

• Professional with high personal standards and integrity.
• Valid state of Tennessee teaching certification in English/Language Arts 6-8, English 6-12, or upcoming graduation from an accredited teacher preparation program.
• Bachelor's degree.

Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience. This position may be eligible for an increase in total compensation through the Differentiated Compensation Plan.
