Biomedical Equipment Technician Job Description

At Renovo Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, maintain, and repair basic electronic devices according to specifications
  • Maintain and repair life-support and other high-risk patient care and diagnostic equipment
  • Accurately document all activities in the preferred computerized medical maintenance system
  • Diagnose and solve system and equipment malfunctions by making repairs or replacements
  • Research and order parts to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Provide technical in-service or instruction to Facility staff in proper operation of patient care equipment
  • Maintain a good personal relationship with fellow co-workers, hospital staff, and vendors
  • Participate in facility on-call rotation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree, technical certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this job description preferred
  • CBET or similar certification preferred
  • Ability to speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, squat, and twist
  • Ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
Working Conditions:

This position is located in a hospital environment and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
