Role Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled RN Supervisor to manage our Pediatric Med Surg Unit. This position involves overseeing daily operations, guiding nursing staff, and ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for patients and their families. As a pivotal leader, you will work closely with the Nursing Manager to strategize, implement, and assess policies, procedures, and resources aimed at fulfilling departmental and organizational objectives. A strong commitment to professional nursing practices and collaborative teamwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Promote a supportive work atmosphere that encourages evidence-based practices. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care tailored to individual needs.
  • Quality Improvement: Continuously assess the quality of nursing practices and implement changes through quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Compassionate Care: Establish a caring and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Facilitate care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds to address needs.
  • Diversity Awareness: Recognize and address individual differences, fostering awareness among nursing staff and healthcare providers.
  • Advocacy: Represent the interests of nursing staff and patients to ensure ethical practices and effective communication.
  • Staff Development: Identify educational needs of staff and patients, assisting in the creation and evaluation of training programs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of nursing standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and hospital protocols.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and health management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make informed operational decisions.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including electronic medical records.
