Job Summary:
The LEAD COMPUTER SCIENTIST role at SWRI involves leading internal research programs to extend the state of the art in robotics and automation. This includes proposing new research directions, mentoring colleagues, and capturing new research projects with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, software engineering, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
* Propose and lead internal research programs to advance the state of the art in robotics and automation
* Mentor colleagues to raise the bar for research and development across the organization
* Capture new research projects with existing and new clients
* Design, implement, and test advanced robotic technologies

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* 8-18 years of industry, academic, or government research experience in robotics and automation
* Strong writing and presentation skills
* Strong software and software engineering skills; C++/Python preferred

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annum,
