Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

Key Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineering Technician to support our EMC certification activities for naval ships. The successful candidate will conduct visual inspections of shipboard topside equipment to evaluate the physical condition of bonding and grounding measures, as well as the status of EMC fix installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections of shipboard topside equipment to evaluate the physical condition of bonding and grounding measures
  • Evaluate the status of EMC fix installations
  • Document results in templated status reports
  • Embark on naval ships to conduct inspections and installations

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in testing, evaluation, or investigation of military or commercial C5ISR systems or components related to RF engineering, EMC, or Electromagnetic Interference
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to execute manual labor, including replacement of bonding straps and visual inspections of system conditions aboard naval ships
  • Ability to travel within CONUS and OCONUS
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military electronics or electrical systems
  • Experience operating RF test equipment
  • Welding Certification in Stick, MIG, TIG, or Gas Welding
  • Completion of Electronics or Electronic Technology Trade School
