Position Summary

We are in search of an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Manager to become a vital part of our dynamic team.

The ASC Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration and clinical operations of the facility, providing both managerial leadership and direct clinical support as necessary. This role ensures the delivery of personalized nursing care in accordance with established nursing processes and organizational protocols. Key responsibilities include facilitating professional staff meetings, maintaining regulatory compliance, evaluating program effectiveness, and managing resources to optimize patient care while controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and facilitate professional staff meetings, including preparation of agendas, data collection, and documentation of minutes.
  • Review, revise, and update Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and manage interactions with review agencies.
  • Evaluate programs and patient care activities to uphold high standards.
  • Establish and maintain nursing care standards in line with professional guidelines and operating room procedures.
  • Implement cost-effective measures while ensuring the quality of patient care.
  • Ensure staff understanding and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Provide necessary resources for staff education and professional development.
  • Supervise the collection of required records and reports.
  • Manage staff scheduling and time-off requests.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout their care journey.
  • Assist in patient positioning for comfort and safety.
  • Conduct skilled nursing assessments, treatment planning, and interventions for all patients.
  • Prepare operating rooms for procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Maintain strict standards of asepsis and monitor equipment functionality.
  • Handle instruments and supplies during operations, ensuring proper delivery to surgeons.
  • Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocols.
  • Collect, interpret, document, and communicate patient information in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Administer medications, apply dressings, and monitor vital signs as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

  • Current state registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Recent direct patient care experience is required.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant RN experience in a surgical setting or operating room.
  • Prior management experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing the administration and clinical operations of a surgical center.
  • Proficiency in independent decision-making and problem-solving, effectively applying general principles to specific issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, consistently driving departmental enhancements and actively engaging in committee and task force initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team setting and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and analytical skills, with the capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Skillful in multitasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Exhibits cooperative and professional conduct towards patients, colleagues, healthcare providers, management, and visitors alike.
Compensation

Salary: Up to $115K
