Role SummaryIOTA Community Schools is in search of dedicated Middle School Mathematics Educators for the upcoming academic year. We firmly believe that every student possesses the inherent ability to achieve their aspirations and excel, regardless of their circumstances.

IOTA provides specialized training, regular observations, and opportunities for professional growth to foster effective teaching and learning in every classroom.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive unit plans and lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students, with clearly defined, standards-aligned objectives and suitable assessments to evaluate student understanding.
- Engage in bi-weekly coaching sessions and professional development to deepen your knowledge of content, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Collaborate with fellow educators in a supportive learning environment, participating in grade-level meetings, content teams, and ongoing professional development throughout the academic year.
- Fulfill school-based responsibilities, which may include student conferences, arrival and dismissal duties, transitions, lunch supervision, and other tasks assigned by school leadership.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Candidates must possess either (a) a valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement, (b) a valid out-of-state license that can be transferred to Tennessee within 90 days of employment, or (c) demonstrate progress towards obtaining certification in Tennessee.
- If you do not currently hold a teaching license, you may be eligible for a Practitioner license while completing graduate coursework, provided you enroll in an Educator Preparation Program.

- Ability to meet deadlines related to lesson planning, grading, and other professional requirements.

The salary for this teaching position is determined by years of certified experience, ranging from $51,500 to $75,250. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization committed to the success of all students.
